Eliza believes all people regardless of their background and previous life experiences can benefit from the counseling process. Counseling is designed to provide a safe and validating space for people to be fully seen and heard. Eliza feels that meeting clients’ where they are presently at in their life journey is vital in building a strong therapeutic relationship and helping develop goals that best fit into the individual’s life. Eliza strives to provide an inclusive, respected, and compassionate environment in which clients’ feel that they can unapologetically express themselves and know that they are the sole focus of the sessions.

Upon graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Criminal Justice, she began studying at North Carolina Central University where she obtained her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

She understands that life can throw unexpected curveballs, due to experiencing numerous herself that altered how she navigated life. Seeking her own counseling allowed her to better process the mental impact of these events, foster resilience, solidify her role within life, and inspire her to live life authentically. These are some things she hopes to help clients discover within themselves. She recognizes that engaging in counseling is a very vulnerable experience and can take immense courage to consider reaching out. Knowing this, Eliza works at the client’s pace to ensure they are navigating through thoughts, feelings, and experiences when they feel they are ready to.

When she is not in the kitchen trying out new recipes, Eliza enjoys going on hikes and being in nature, completing art projects, and listening to audiobooks. She loves traveling and immersing herself in new cultures and ways of life, as she believes it is important to always be expanding our worldviews and learning from others who may not be similar to ourselves. The destination she would love to travel to next is Greece, inspired by one of her favorite movies “Mamma Mia”.
