Get to know Manuel

Manuel Perez-Parra sees individual children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress, and is especially adept at working with young adults navigating life transitions in their home life, college life, interpersonal relationships, and burgeoning careers.

Manuel takes a strengths-based, person-centered approach, ensuring everyone feels heard, understood, and supported. He believes in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss their thoughts and feelings and develop coping skills. He often incorporates mindful approaches that clients can learn in sessions with him and then practice outside of therapy as they learn to better regulate their emotions and manage stressful situations when they arise.

Manuel is a California Native who received his Bachelor's in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside. He is currently working towards his Master's in Social Work at Columbia University. Manuel moved to Texas in 2022 and has supported students at Navarro College as an academic advisor since. He values mental health and aims to reduce negative stigma within his community.

In his free time, Manuel enjoys trying new foods, playing video games, working out, and spending time with his loved ones. His goal for the future is to add traveling to that list. Manuel believes traveling is the best way to experience new foods and cultures, so he wishes to explore more in his free time.
