Get to know Philip

Philip Valentinetti knows that you’re here because you want to feel differently. Unexpected events, relationship challenges, and traumas from the past collectively drain your mental and emotional resources. He understands how often life feels overwhelming. With a passion for helping clients find their voice, Philip creates a safe and collaborative environment for you to explore your experiences, thoughts, and emotions without judgment.

Philip specializes in treating anxiety in relationships, boundary issues, lack of direction, personality disorders, and suicidal ideation. To get to the core of the matter, he integrates gestalt, emotion-focused, and ACT approaches to find the experiences and habitual patterns that get in your way and keep you feeling the way you do. Philip will create a customized treatment plan to not only help you discover the root of the problem, but also take actionable steps to become who you want to be.

Philip has worn many hats in many places to become the person he is today. Born and raised in Coppell, TX, he relocated to New York City to complete his Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from New York University. Careers in yoga teaching, restaurant management, and massage therapy have taken Philip to unexpected places. Through these experiences he developed an adaptive, open-minded, and open-hearted approach to meeting people where they are. Having returned to DFW with a lot of life experience under his belt, Philip completed his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Woman’s University. A lifelong learner, he is currently pursuing advanced training at the Gestalt Institute of the Rockies.

Philip loves a challenge! From board games to kickball, when he’s not at Lifeologie, he enjoys seeking out friendly competition with family, friends, and within the community. Always interested in exploring new worlds, Philip is equally at home curling up with a fantasy novel or backpacking through foreign countries. He’s especially fond of the unexpected encounters you can find while staying at hostels. In his down time, you may often find Philip daydreaming about where the next adventure will lead!
