Get to know Stacey

Stacey is passionate about working with children, adolescents, parents, and families. Stacey works to ensure her clients feel heard and supported throughout the therapeutic process. In addition to working individually with her clients, Stacey collaborates with other providers such as Primary Care Physicians, Psychiatrists, Teachers, and others to help the client meet their treatment goals.

She uses a variety of theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, and Positive Parenting Models. Stacey believes in involving the whole family unit while working with children and teens to provide resources and support. Stacey believes that therapy is a process that takes work inside and outside the therapy room (homework and practice) to see best treatment outcomes. Stacey also believes reviewing treatment goals, progress, and gathering feedback is essential to the therapy process.

Stacey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She was born and raised in North Carolina and graduated with a BA in Psychology from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She attended Pfeiffer University in Morrisville, NC and got a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. For the past 8 years, Stacey has been providing clinical services within community mental health. While an undergraduate, Stacey received training in Applied Behavioral Analysis and gained 12 years of experience in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

Her clinical and administrative experience includes working with ages from 2 to 20 years including serving adolescents with significant mental health needs and concerns in a crisis base model. Stacey has experience in a Pediatric office working alongside with doctors to give her clients integrated healthcare. Stacey has experience in running DBT and social skills groups. She has been providing Outpatient Therapy for them since 2018. Stacey has also received a significant amount of post-graduate training in integrated healthcare, motivational interviewing, clinical assessments, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), parenting, family systems, and trauma models.

In her free time, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, fur babies (dog and cat), family, and friends. She enjoys traveling (from beaches to mountains), crafting on her Cricut, and shopping (loves to coupon!). Stacey loves anything Disney and truly believes it is the happiest place on earth!
