Get to know Stephen

Stephen specializes in helping with borderline personality, grief, trauma, anger management, addiction issues, men’s issues, depression, and anxiety. He strives to help others process their emotions in a healthy and productive manner. Regardless of background Stephen hopes to aid his clients in processing and understanding emotions in a meaningful way.

Stephen has an aptitude for working with men of all ages struggling within relationships. The men who are struggling to communicate with their partner or are frustrated about not being able to express themselves emotionally and don’t know where to begin.

Originally from the Texas Panhandle, Stephen graduated from Texas Tech University in 2014 with a degree in History and Political Science. After 10 years of working in a hospital setting, Stephen joined the hospital Crisis Intervention and Stress Management Team. Driven by his own experiences with Mental Health, Stephen found a passion for counseling and received his Master’s of Art in Mental Health Counseling from West Texas A&M in 2022. When he’s not working, Stephen enjoys game nights with friends and family, spending time with his dogs Biscuit and Scout, and finding new trails to run.

Stephen utilizes an Eclectic approach to therapy; blending several styles including Existential, Acceptance/Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, and Internal Family Systems all while regularly learning new techniques to better help whichever clients he is working with each day.

While he uses several techniques Stephen blends these in a way that is intentionally more informal to allow you to be your authentic self in whatever room you meet.
