Get to know Stephen
After more than 10 years of working in a hospital setting, Stephen joined the hospital Crisis Intervention and Stress Management Team. Driven by his own experiences with Mental Health, Stephen found his passion for counseling and hopes to help people struggling with their own obstacles in life. Stephen focuses on an Existential Therapy style with the use of Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, but considers himself eclectic and is always learning new techniques to better help you. He strives to help other men process their emotions in healthy and productive ways. He also enjoys working with young adults from all walks of life and guiding them through their journey with mental wellbeing. He hopes to help others understand and cope with their personality disorders, grief, depression, and anxiety.
Originally from the Texas Panhandle, Stephen graduated from Texas Tech University in 2014 with a degree in History and Political Science. He received his Master’s of Art in Mental Health Counseling from West Texas A&M in the summer of 2022. When he’s not working, Stephen enjoys game nights with friends and family, spending time with his dogs Biscuit and Scout, and finding new trails to run. His friends know him as their friendly-neighborhood Personal Chef and Movie Critic – when you meet him, be ready to talk about recipes and Rotten Tomatoes!
