Creative Expression in Cascade: Art Therapy Group for Girls

Are you looking for a creative outlet for your teen to express herself, reduce stress, and connect with others in a supportive environment? Our Creative Expression Art Therapy Group offers a safe and welcoming space for girls ages 12-16 to explore emotions, self-expression, and personal growth through art.

how it works

Led by professional teen therapists Chanler Burns, LMSW, and Elisabeth Cotton, Masters Level Intern, this group is designed for girls ages 12 and older who are interested in using creativity as a tool for reflection, emotional expression, and connection. No artistic experience is necessary — the focus is on the process of creating, not artistic skill or perfection.

Participants will engage in guided art activities and creative exercises that encourage mindfulness, self-discovery, and emotional wellness. Through creative expression and reflective activities, members will have the opportunity to explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive group setting.

We will meet July 14-23, 2026 for 4 one-hour sessions at the Lifeologie Counseling office in Cascade, Michigan. Space is intentionally limited to create a comfortable and personalized experience for each participant.
