Hampton Roads Certified Substance Abuse Counseling Supervisee Alexandra Staton works with adults, teens, and couples, helping clients at all stages acquire healthy communication and conflict resolution skills that will deepen meaningful, enduring connections. Alexandra specializes in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, women’s issues, and trauma, young adults experiencing life transitions and stress, and clients struggling with addictive.behaviors. Whether you’re in early recovery, facing relapse concerns, or exploring your relationship with substances, Alexandra will walk alongside you with empathy, respect, and a belief in your capacity to change. 

Alexandra offers a warm, collaborative approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing to her work with clients. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University Central Texas. 

Alexandra believes in creating a space where her clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Her goal is to meet you where you are and help you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. 

Alexandra loves the outdoors and finding peace in Nature. She believes we as humans really are just like plants! She is a nerd at heart and loves books, video games, Legos and movies. 

Most importantly, Alexandra believes that healing happens in connection — through conversation, curiosity, and compassion. Therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or clinical! It’s a conversation, a connection, and a space for real growth and support.
