Get to know Felicia

If you’re looking for an approachable therapist in Hampton Roads who can enhance your motivation to grow and change, Board Approved Supervisee in Social Work, Felicia Wallace may be the perfect fit. She sees children, adolescents, and adults individually, married and nontraditional couples, families, and groups at Lifeologie Counseling Hampton Roads.

Felicia specializes in helping individual clients process difficulties with body image, addictive behaviors, ADHD, confidence, isolation, trichotillomania and self-harm, hoarding, panic attacks, social anxiety and phobias, postpartum depression, post-traumatic stress, trauma and abuse, veterans’ mental health, seasonal affective disorder, and societal stressors such as workplace issues, prejudice and discrimination, and career challenges. She supports clients and families who are experiencing life transitions, including blended families and foster care, issues of aging, hospice, financial difficulties, and caregiver stress, and brings a sensitive and perceptive approach to her work with teens suffering from low self-esteem and young adults navigating life’s challenges.

Felicia is also an experienced couples counselor who brings Gottman methods and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to her approach for issues of commitment and control, infidelity, separation and divorce, addiction, stress, forgiveness, financial strain, and difficulties communicating.

Felicia brings 20 years of professional experience to her practice, and often incorporates Client-Centered Therapy, CBT, Existential Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is especially adept at motivational interviewing. With all clients, she creates an open, safe, and professional environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. She knows that taking the first step to book a therapy appointment takes courage, and she is deeply proud of her clients when they choose to get started.

She received her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work from Norfolk State University. She is also a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She is pre-licensed to practice therapy in Virginia, Rhode Island, and Illinois.

Felicia was inspired to embark on a career as a therapist because she became a parent as a teenager, and wanted to provide change and advocacy to those in need. In her spare time, she enjoys spending family time with her two sons, collecting Holiday Barbies, and traveling.
