Get to know Daniele

Born into a military family, Daniele frequently moved throughout her childhood. Through this experience, she grew a passion for art-making, providing her with a sense of stability amidst some of the uncertainty of military life. Art became a safe space where she could process her emotions and communicate her thoughts and feelings when words fell short.

Daniele is a self-taught artist with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is now pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Antioch University Seattle to cultivate skills to help create a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and inner-self through creative expression. She believes in the power of nonverbal communication the creative process makes space for. For children and adolescents, the creative process can help them learn about their emotions and how to communicate feelings they may not have the words for. With a client-centered approach, Daniele hopes to co-create sessions tailored to the client's unique needs and preferences.

In her free time, Daniele enjoys creating a culture of care with her family and friends while continuing her passion for creating art.
